Former Freedom Party leader Monika Kryemadhi, speaking about her and her ex-husband Ilir Meta's problems with justice, accused SPAK of blackmailing witnesses who testified in their case.
In an interview with "Ora News", Kryemadhi added that repressive and intimidating methods were used against witnesses, with the aim of forcing them to say things that were beneficial to SPAK.
"We have a problem in the Meta file and in my file. There are witnesses who have been blackmailed. The person was intimidated, he was told that he had received cash from Fatime Kryemadhi. Then he was arrested for 3 months without any reason, to put pressure on him. Even the other person who sold my mother's apartment. As soon as he got off the plane, he came from Canada, he was held at SPAK, he was held for hours and was intimidated. They kept him all night at the police station, then they sent him to the prosecutor's office. Then they told him to go away and relax, that we will call you back. Because the very methodology that SPAK used in this case was not to uncover the truth, but to get even a deposition with a clause or a sentence, which is relevant," said Kryemadhi.
