Ted Kopliku, the former Democratic Party candidate for MP, has revealed what a Socialist Party exponent told him regarding the elections.
" I see the dismissal of Mr. Veliaj and his replacement as part of a larger scenario, where the regime plays its part and immediately after the elections puts the DP in an equation without a solution. If we enter the elections, they tell us why we enter when there are no elections here; if we do not enter the elections, they say the opposition has no alternative. I will tell you a short story. I met an exponent of the Socialist Party and after I told him that I spent a few days of vacation in the mountains and reflected there. He replied: "I believe you found the answer to the reflection, I need to spend more money on votes" , said Kopliku.
According to him, everyone knows that votes are bought in Albania.
"After 12 years, the socialists cannot imagine entering the elections without buying votes. So, we all know that votes are bought here, gangs impose candidates for MPs, yet we go out in the studio and talk as if we are dealing with a system where democracy works. This is the trap that the DP has fallen into time and again ," added Kopliku.
