Supporters of the Democratic Party and its allies in the 'Greater Albania Alliance' coalition have gathered in a protest along 'Zogu I' Boulevard to oppose the election results, which they consider distorted as a result of the intervention of the Rama Government and the gangs that support it.
Belind Këlliçi, political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, where the opposition won only 13 mandates, two fewer than in the 2021 elections, said that electoral manipulation will be proven.
Këlliçi expressed his conviction that after a few months or a year, we will raise the question of where Edi Rama and his ministers are.
"Whoever has put their hands in distorting the vote of Albanians, be convinced that they will face the law. We will do the same thing we did for the 2023 elections. We will prove the electoral manipulation and ask where is Edi Rama after 7 months or 1 year? Be convinced of this," said Këlliçi.
He further emphasized that of course the DP may also have its mistakes and will conduct its own analysis, but it will not happen after the final OSCE/ODIHR report on the elections is published.
"We will do our analysis, we will look at where we went wrong, whether it's the candidates or the program, but we will do this after the ODIHR's final report on the elections," said Këlliçi.
