Kreshnik Spahiu, commenting on the campaign for the May 11 elections, said that it is mainly being done on social networks and the parties are not spending as much money as in previous years. Regarding the phenomenon of vote buying, Spahiu said that votes are bought by the party that may lose and not by the party that is sure to win the elections.
"One reason why this year's campaign is weak is that they don't want to spend money and are campaigning on social media, in videos where they come out and talk, and all of this wasn't the case before."
"In cases where the result is known, the money is not thrown by the one who has the victory in his pocket, but by the loser, but even he in a limited way. Money is thrown by those who are on the open list because they are sure of victory. Parliament will be dominated by deputies who were on closed lists ," he said.
For Report TV, Spahiu also focused on the immigrant vote, for which he said that the SP has an advantage over other parties.
He said that the same immigrants attend every rally of old or new parties.
" 4 parties have an advantage for the diaspora vote, the most active ones being the DP, the SP 'Albania Becomes' and the Opportunity Party, as they have worked more in the diaspora. There will be problems in the diaspora, because the ballot goes to one family at one address and they will all fill it out together."
But I have seen in Milan, Brescia, and several other cities that there is a group of immigrants who participate in every rally in new or old parties, and this makes the result unpredictable.
Even Albanians have become a bit of a master at playing with 3 or 4 goals. But the socialists will have an advantage in the immigrant vote because they have worked harder ," he said.
