"Why don't you bring Rama to the Assembly?" Peleshi responds to
Niko Peleshi

Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi has responded to the accusations of Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama's behavior in the Assembly and his absence from the interpellations requested by the opposition. During the plenary session, Peleshi stated that there is no violation of the Constitution or the rules of the Assembly, while giving Bardhi 10 minutes to express himself in the hall.

At the same time, the speaker of parliament warned the democratic deputy about the language used during the debate, giving him the disciplinary measure of "attention-grabbing".

"First of all, tone does not make you right. Shaking your hand also does not make you right. You hit me on the first day with the Constitution and I caught it in the air, I use that. I have sent you the report in writing in response to all your concerns and I know that it can be bitter when numbers face numbers, but this is democracy. Regarding the requested interpellation, there is no violation of the regulations, far from it of the Constitution because you were notified within working hours and you asked to express yourself for 10 minutes. I will strip your speech here of all political content and I am taking it as a request to express yourself here for 10 minutes. It is not a provocation, on the contrary, I am avoiding you. For unparliamentary vocabulary, take the disciplinary measure of drawing attention", said Peleshi.

Bardhi stated that Peleshi should have forced Prime Minister Edi Rama to appear in Parliament to give an account, while warning that the three rejected requests for interpellation will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
