The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, harshened his tone during his speech in the Assembly, issuing accusations against Niko Peles regarding the rejection of interpellations requested by the opposition.
Bardhi stated that Peleshi should have forced Prime Minister Edi Rama to appear in Parliament to give an account, while warning that the three rejected requests for interpellation will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
"Mr. Speaker, since you are a violator of the rules, I suspect that you have the request in the Constitutional Court as well. Yes, we have your attention at all times. You have refused the DP parliamentary group an urgent interpellation with the Prime Minister, regarding the AKSH scandal. You have responded that in flagrant violation you are refusing this interpellation. According to the rules, the plenary session should have been notified in the announcements that a request for an interpellation had arrived, and you, in violation of the law, have refused it. I am saying this publicly and for the plenary session, we will take the last three requests that you have rejected in the interpellation to the Constitutional Court for conflict of interpellations. You are exceeding the procedures, you are annihilating the rights of the opposition, parliamentarism and democracy. It is your direct responsibility. If you do not have the competence to bring Rama to the session, resign. You are afraid to tell the Prime Minister; sir, you have a constitutional obligation to come to the session. You do not have the courage. Resign from it "They had a position!", said Bardhi.
