Deputy Agron Shehaj has reacted again regarding the scandal of the transportation of hundreds of tons of hazardous waste from the port of Durrës and recorded in Thailand and China.
In his reaction on Facebook, Shehaj has published a document of the Ministry of Tourism directed by Mirela Kumbaro, where it is emphasized that the company "Sokolaj" sh.pk has been granted a license for the transportation of hazardous waste.
"The government has been silent for two weeks about this scandal because it is itself involved in the traffic of toxic waste," writes Shehaj.
The deputy adds that all institutions knew that toxic waste was being trafficked in those 100 containers and did nothing, since the government was doing the trafficking itself.
"The government has been silent for 2 weeks regarding the scandal of 816 tons of toxic waste being returned to Albania.
They are silent because they are involved in the traffic of toxic waste.
This document shows that the Albanian state was aware of the traffic, which was done with dangerous substances. This is the licensing act of the company that exported the waste and did not declare that they were exporting toxic waste.
The license is signed by the Minister of Environment, Mirela Kumbaro. So, all the institutions knew that in those 100 containers, toxic waste was being trafficked, and they did nothing, because the trafficking was being done by the Government itself.
This is state traffic in toxic waste and should be investigated as soon as possible.
The government can no longer be silent. This criminal activity done using state institutions puts public health at risk," said Shehaj.
