Rama gets ready for the new government / From Kumbaro 10 years in office, to

Who will leave the government in September?

The Socialist Party and the government are in a state of anxiety. The Prime Minister is expected to set the date of the Socialist Party National Assembly, where he is expected to present the new government cabinet.

Looking at the developments of recent weeks, the signals are that Rama will make many changes; where in addition to numerous departures, there may be a re-dimensioning in the organization and naming of ministries. But, as is his habit, he consults only with a very narrow group of individuals and the vast majority are waiting.

What is noticeable is that there are some figures in the government who have been there for a very long time.

If we take them in order, the longest-serving minister is Mirela Kumbaro , who has left and returned to the government. Mirela Kumbaro was appointed Minister of Culture in 2013, a post she held for almost 6 years. In 2019, she left, but returned in 2021 to the post of Minister of Environment and Tourism. So, Kumbaro has been in government for almost 10 years.

Then comes Ogerta Manastirliu . She held the position of Minister of Health and Social Protection in the period 2017-2023. Meanwhile, from 2023 until today she is the Minister of Education. So, Manastirliu has been in government for a full 8 years.

Another name with a long career in government is the Minister of Energy, Belinda Balluku . She has held this position since 2019. Meanwhile, since 2022 she has also been Deputy Prime Minister.

The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja , has served a full term. He took office in 2021 and did not move during the changes that were made in 2023. Bora Muzhaq , who heads the State Ministry for Youth and Children, has also been in government for four years.

Also on the list for 4 years is Delina Ibrahimaj . She was Minister of Finance in the period 2021-2023. While in 2023 she was appointed Minister of State for Entrepreneurship.

Another name is Anila Denaj . She served as Minister of Finance in the period 2019-2021. Since 2023 she has been Minister of Agriculture.

These are the most long-term names, as the other ministers were mainly appointed in 2023 and 2024. Let's see who Rama will move; will he still keep the 'veterans' or will he transfer them to other departments.  /Pamphlet
