Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his closing speech at the meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group for the opening of the new parliamentary year, proposed that the Parliament channel on RTSH be turned into a functional platform for the Parliament and not just for broadcasting the sessions of the Parliament and its committees.
Rama said that introducing technology into the work of the Assembly is one of the priorities to increase transparency and public participation in parliamentary processes.
"Technology should be introduced as deeply as possible into the work of the Assembly. The parliament channel on public television should become an Assembly channel, not simply to broadcast the sessions of the Assembly or committees, but much more."
"Other countries have a Parliament channel and we should have one too. This will be done under the auspices of the Presidency of the Assembly, definitely inviting the opposition representative, Professor Agron Gjekmarkaj ," Rama said.
