Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared the victory of the Socialist Party. As announced at 7:00 p.m., he and his staff gathered at Skanderbeg Square. Rama was accompanied by his wife, brother, and children.
In his speech, Rama said that this will be a bigger challenge. Rama said that Albanians trusted the Socialist Party again and added that this mandate will be for Albania's integration into the EU.
" For 30 days, Albanians judged and they decided to trust us as the SP for the fourth mandate. We instilled trust in Albanians. We instilled even greater pride for European Albania, which is why we gathered the votes of a referendum support. We are the Albania that works and does not stop. Albanians chose a country that climbs the path to the EU and not a blackened Albania, filled with hatred. Albanians chose the light of the stars of Europe and not the darkness and the abyss ", he emphasized.
Rama then stopped by his family, where he had a message for his mother, who is no longer alive, and then thanked his children and wife.

Rama further admitted that the victory is not entirely due to his merit, but also to the opposition. He said that these people will not change the government they have without first changing the opposition they do not want.

The SP won 83 seats in these elections, while the DP was reduced to 50 seats. This result further strengthens Rama's position, increasing fears that Albania could slide towards autocracy.
