For Prime Minister Edi Rama, the relations between Italy and Albania have never been determined by the colors of the governments in Rome and Tirana, but that the two countries have a very similar common DNA, even though we were separated by the sea.
This is what the head of the Albanian government, Edi Rama, who also spoke about Giorgia Meloni's visit to Albania, stated in a direct link to Italian television, La7.it, on the show 'In ONDA'.
The Prime Minister added that there is also a national goal of Albania to become a full member of the EU where Italy is our biggest advocate.
" In these 30 years, relations between Italy and Albania have never been determined by the colors of the governments in Rome and Tirana. It's a matter of history! We share a very similar DNA, even though we have been separated by the sea. Italy is always in our hearts, it is a very deep relationship. There is a strategic interest of Italy to be more and more present in the Balkans, and Giorgia has this national goal. There is also a national goal of Albania to become a full member of the EU where Italy is our biggest advocate ", said Rama.
