Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed during a parliamentary group meeting that Belinda Balluku has submitted her resignation from government positions 3 times, but they have been rejected.
" Balluku submitted his resignation to me when he was accused, when he was suspended, and when the Constitutional Court failed to make a decision, but I rejected him all three times ," Rama said.
In his speech to the deputies, the Prime Minister said that administration employees are not cannon fodder, nor targets for prosecutors to fill their files and CVs.
" Arrest warrants are being distributed as if they were wedding invitations. A model administration employee, who has been battling cancer for 5 years, with no connection to tenders, is being arrested. What is this being done for, what does this mean ," said the Head of Government.
Rama considered the changes to the Criminal Code as unrelated to the Belinda Balluku case. Rama said that no one should think that they have both the power and the authority to attack this ruling majority.
"The spirit of the Constitution and the fundamental orientations of the Constitution are not enough, the practices of all the countries that we resemble are not enough, then an article must be made with all the definitions, function by function, so that there is no longer any possibility of interpretation."

"No one should think that they have both the stone and the nut in their hands to hit this governing majority. Just as no one should think that this measure, or other measures to come, have to do with our hesitation to support the independence of justice without reservation," said Rama.
While not sparing his attacks on justice, Rama said that in one district, a judge issued 33 arrest warrants and placed them in pre-trial detention, forgetting to arrest only himself.
" We have such an independent justice system that a judge issues 33 arrest warrants and forgets without arresting himself! " he said.
While stating that the Criminal Code is not made to take away freedom, but to guarantee freedom, Rama said that society is not guided by how to take away people's freedom.
" The void is in the brains of those who did not provide direction based on the spirit of the Constitution and the model of separation of powers across the planet."
