Greek media mocks Rama: He didn't kneel before Mitsotakis, but went to him in sneakers and a not-so-serious suit
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to become the world's favorite.
During his recent visit to Athens, where he met with his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Rama again drew attention for his informal attire.
The Greek media outlet "Agrinio24" dedicated a special article to this detail, ironizing the fact that the Albanian prime minister appeared in white sneakers and a suit that, according to them, was more suitable for a walk than an official meeting at the headquarters of the Greek government. The title of the article is even: ' Rama dressed for "a glass" at Maximos in the meeting with Mitsotakis '.
" Once again, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, drew attention not for his political stances, but for his stylistic choices. Mr. Rama did not kneel down to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as he recently did in Georgia Meloni, but went dressed in white sneakers and a suit that someone would wear on a walk... He even apologized for this, and blamed his protocol for apparently not informing him that he was going to the Maximos Residence, that is, to the Prime Minister's office... ", writes Greek media.
On the other hand, Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis reacted in friendly tones, emphasizing that he appreciates Rama's unique style. " We know that you are always creative in the way you dress and we like that ," he replied, according to Greek media.
Finally, the article ironizes the situation by mentioning the dog present in the reception area as a "surprised witness" to the scene: " Even Peanut was surprised... "
