Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, for accepting the EU's proposal to de-escalate the situation and start negotiations for the formation of the association in the northern municipalities.
Through a reaction on the "X" platform, the head of the Albanian government called the meeting of EU leaders with the Serbian president and the prime minister of Kosovo an important historical moment.
Not giving up his imaginary role as the 'godfather' of the Balkans, Rama called on Kurti and Vučić to demonstrate leadership and work with Western partners to implement the Basic Agreement to normalize relations and bring peace to the region.
" I congratulate the Prime Minister of Kosovo for accepting the EU's proposal to advance decisively towards the unblocking solution of the ASM through self-management instruments as a framework for future negotiations. This is indeed an important historical moment. The leaders of Kosovo and Serbia must demonstrate leadership and work closely with our Western partners to immediately implement the Framework Agreement for the normalization of relations, without further delay. Our region deserves peace, stability and cooperation for a common, better future, instead of conflicts, blame games and obstacles that harm us all", writes Rama .
We remind you that Kurti and Vucic were received today at the meetings held by the EU leaders, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.
