The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, commented on the OSCE/ODIHR final report on the May 11 parliamentary elections.
Boçi described the document as "one of the most serious reports of recent years," emphasizing that its findings confirm the distortion of the electoral process and the lack of real pluralism in the country.
" It is one of the most serious reports, not simply from my experience, but from the points it has shared. The most essential point is what was also mentioned in the report from four years ago, the unification of the party with the state. This shows that everything has been destroyed and pluralism is only formal ," declared Boçi.
According to him, although voting day was peaceful, the report highlights cases of intimidation against candidates and voters.
" The only thing missing was the paragraph 'Rama stole the elections'. In its entirety, the report clearly states that these elections are rigged and must be repeated ," he added on "A2 CNN."
Boçi stressed that Albania urgently needs a technical government, as according to him, "the current government is illegitimate."
