Alimehmeti has harshly criticized Prime Minister Rama, as the latter posted a video of a collapsed road in Portugal, paralleling the situation with what is happening with road axes in Albania, specifically with the Librazhd-Prrenjas one.
According to Alimehmeti, the way Rama used this example to relativize the problems in the country resembles the rhetoric of the communist regime.
"This is done just like Enver Hoxha, who said 'we are without food here, we are all on blankets, but they don't have any either'. So, die, stay isolated because there is also a village with 900 people in Portugal that also has a broken road. This is the same rhetoric. We have heard this ," he said for "A2 CNN".
Alimehmeti emphasizes that Rama has seized all legislative, executive, judicial and local powers, while adding that 'he puts people in prison for every criminal offense and complains about prison overcrowding'.
"A man who seizes all powers, legislative, executive, judicial and local, and on the other hand what does he have for the citizen? You park in a double row, prison; you don't pay for electricity, prison. You interfered with the water, prison; you put four sheets of metal to make a chicken coop, prison. And then what does he say? We have many people in detention. But who put them in? Actions and speeches are completely separate," declared Alimehmeti.
In conclusion, he used strong tones towards the head of government: "These things happen for two reasons. Either you are a liar, or you are sick."
