Today's decision of the democratic parliamentary group to postpone the elections for the president seems to have created divisions within the DP. Today, Gazment Bardhi proposed that the organization should start from the ground up and at the end elect the chairman, but the heads of the branches have opposed it.
The College of Presidents has appeared in a media conference and demands that the race for the head of the party be opened. According to them, the longer PD stays without a leader, the more damage will be done. They even demand that the president be elected by July 15.
" The Democratic Party must choose its chairman without any delay and start organizing and selecting the teams that will lead this party to the next elections. The Democratic Party cannot continue to stay without a leader any longer. DP has wasted time waiting, while there is no reflection from the other side, even after the results of the May 14 elections. The process for the election of the chairman should be completed by July 15, 2023 ", says the College of Chairmen after a meeting with Bardhi. The latter announced that after the meeting of the group he would meet the heads of the branches, but it seems that everyone has opposed him.
According to the heads of branches, if it continues to remain on hold, then it only serves the project of our political opponents.
" Not a single day of time should be lost for the organization of the DP, the election of leaders and the transformation of the Democratic Party into the political force that Albanians are looking for today ", it is further emphasized.

Since March 2022, the Democratic Party has made continuous efforts, but to no avail, for the unification of the Democrats,

Të gjitha këto përpjekje u refuzuan.
Eshtë humbur një vit në pritje të bashkimit, por pa rezultat dhe kjo ka ndikuar në dëmtimin dhe dobësimin e Partisë Demokratike.
Drejtuesit e Partisë Demokratike nga seksionet, grupseksionet, kryetarët e degëve kanë punuar me vetmohim për të mos lejuar asimilimin Partisë Demokratike apo asgjesimin e saj.
Ne jemi të vendosur që Partia Demokratike të vazhdojë të jetë një parti aleate e SHBA, Britanise se Madhe dhe BE, të shndërrohet në një alternativë dhe shpresē për shqiptarët në zgjedhjet e përgjithshme të vitit 2025.
Për këto arsye, çdo ditë e humbur nuk i shërben as Partisë Demokratike, as demokratëve.
Partia Demokratike duhet pa asnjë vonesë të zgjedhë kryetarin e saj dhe të nisë organizimin dhe përzgjedhjen, të ekipeve që do ta drejtojnë këtë parti drejt zgjedhjeve të ardhshme.
Partia Demokratike nuk mund të vazhdojë të qëndrojë më gjatë pa kryetar. PD ka humbur kohë në pritje, ndërkohë që nuk ka asnjë reflektim nga pala tjetër, as pas rezultatit të zgjedhjeve të 14 majit.
Procesi për zgjedhjen e kryetarit të përfundojë brenda datës 15 Korrik 2023.
