A few hours ago, the recount and re-evaluation of votes for the Tirana District began by counters appointed by the Central Election Commission, where the SP received 19 mandates, Sali Berisha's Democrats from the May 11 elections received 13 mandates, Agron Shehaj's Mëndësia received two mandates, while PSD, Bashkë Fitojmë and 'Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet' each received 1 mandate.
Regarding the recount, Agron Shehaj reacted, according to whom the vote differences are very negligible.
Shehaj accused KAS of making decisions in favor of the major parties and that their votes have been increased.
"The process has just begun, they have found very small differences. We are monitoring our votes, the votes of the party that claims to take our seat."
We have done a preliminary check, we have checked the footage of the first count that was done, which is actually more valuable. We expect that there will be no change. I do not believe that there will be any change. Almost 25 boxes have been counted.
The votes of the "Mundësia" Party are identical. 4 votes have been added to the Democratic Party from these 25 boxes. They have been added because KAS has re-evaluated votes that were declared invalid. All the invalid votes that have been added to the SP and the DP are votes that have a problem, and now KAS makes a decision and says that there is no problem, they are valid votes. KAS is deciding to add votes to the SP and the DP.
All votes are taken to the KAS for re-evaluation by the counters and the KAS decisions are in favor of the SP and the DP, it is a fact.
If the result is affected, we are here, we have observers and we are making sure that the votes of the "Mundësia" party are not affected, and the votes for other parties are not increased.
"If there are attempts to seize the mandate of the Mundësia party, we will denounce it," said Shehaj.
The 'Mundësia' party in the Tirana District has received two mandates, but there have been claims from the Democrats that one of the mandates belongs to the Democrats, thus attempting to obtain the 14th mandate in Tirana, which if it happens will go to Ilir Alimehmet.
