Appointed chairman of the "disinformation" commission, Brace is using taxes to obtain data against critical media, while remaining silent about Russian concessions, the Arab mafia, and the Gaz Demi and Olsi Rama affairs that he himself signed as former deputy prime minister...

On his Facebook profile, MP Erion Braçe continues to publish messages, denunciations and comments with populist and pathetic tones about the peppers, tomatoes and watermelons of Divjaka, which according to him, traders buy cheaply from farmers and sell expensively in the markets.

But while feeding on "pain for agriculture", Braçe has illegally engaged in "digging" in central institutions, requesting financial and tax data of several media outlets that were served to him by Babloku with a ready-made list, including media outlets that affect the interests of Braçe's or Olsi Rama's drug trafficking friends.

According to information confirmed by sources at the Tax Directorate, Erion Braçe is seeking confidential data for several media outlets through his function as chairman of the special parliamentary committee on disinformation, financing and foreign influence, a structure that in practice is serving as a lever for revenge against independent media outlets.

Even without a written request, without a decision from the commission, and without the approval of the other members, the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, has ordered the Director of Taxes, Ilir Binaj, to submit fiscal data for the targeted media to Braça.

The data exists in official records, but the way Braçe is appropriating it through taxes exposes a scheme led by Rama himself, a new political hunt for media that are not under control and that dare to publish government affairs.

The commission created with great fanfare by Babloku is in fact an instrument for media pressure and intimidation, with Braçe playing the role of one who collects information for selective purposes and targeted political attacks.

The day Rama appointed him chairman of the commission, Brace publicly declared that he would not persecute the media, but would collect data on the activities of "unfriendly" states and their "malignant" intentions.

But his subsequent behavior belies every word. His factual activity proves that the commission's goal is neither disinformation control nor national security; it is to intimidate and crack down on media outlets that have not been bought or subjugated.

If Brace were truly interested in stopping foreign influences in Albania, then he would have denounced in the Assembly and reported to SPAK the 99-year concession that Edi Rama granted to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska in Divjaka, on an area of 800 hectares of state land, in the area where Brace himself is an MP.

If he was truly concerned about black funding and foreign influences, he would have requested information and reported to SPAK the source of the income with which Gaz Demi and Olsi Rama built the "Partizani" stadium and the surrounding towers, on 3.7 hectares of state land donated by Rama's decision.

It would also have launched an investigation into the financing of the palaces and resorts that the Arab mafia figurehead, Mohamed Alabaar, is building in Durrës, on an area of 80 hectares of state-owned land in the old port of Durrës, granted under a concession agreement in the dark, without transparency and with dubious investments.

If Braçe had integrity and truly followed the stated line, he would have requested data on the financial sources of dozens of resorts, hotels, shopping centers, and towers that have been built or are under construction, which have been declared "strategic investments", many of them signed by Braçe himself when he was Edi Rama's deputy prime minister.

And finally, if he were truly on the side of the public interest and not Babloku's schemes, he would have raised the alarm about the most recent case, where just a few days ago, Rama granted "strategic investor status" to Shaban Xhabrahimi, a person listed by intelligence services as a realtor and financial "launderer" for Russian oligarchs.

According to reports from SHISH and anti-crime structures, Xhabrahim's investment in the Borsh hotel complex was financed with money originating from Vladimir Putin's financial clan.

Brace does not speak about these. He does not make denunciations, interpellations, or posts of "compassion". He has focused his mission on a dark role: to attack the media that dare to mention these names and these affairs, on behalf of a "parliamentary commission" that is in fact Babloku's personal command to shut the few mouths that are left free in this country./ Pamphlet
