Parliament Rules of Procedure, Bardhi quarrels with Pelesh: You have blown up
Gazment Bardhi

At the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, the opposition and the majority clashed over the changes to the Assembly's regulations, proposed by the Socialist Party.

According to the opposition, the Assembly should wait for the full decision of the Constitutional Court, which earlier overturned the unilateral changes made to the regulations. The Democrats said that without this document there is no basis to proceed with new amendments.

During the debate, Gazment Bardhi addressed the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, accusing him of violating the Constitution and linking this position to the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Among other things, Bardhi emphasized that parliament cannot be arbitrary.

"You have knowingly violated the Constitution. And not once, but twice. By 8 to 0, the Constitutional Court said that the Speaker of the Assembly has blown up the Constitution. So, the Constitutional Court gave us the right to dismiss you, but you overturned it with a political vote.

Therefore, the changes to the regulation are not urgent, because the Constitutional Court has not yet issued its decision. So, there is no urgent matter to address.

"I'm telling you: The Constitutional Court has not clarified the decision. Therefore, I kindly ask you to become the guarantor of the Constitution. Parliament cannot be arbitrary," said Bardhi.
