Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has reacted after the blockage of the axes connecting the southeast of the country, accusing the government of corruption and failure in managing road infrastructure.
On social media, Salianji states that the recurring problems on national roads are not related to weather conditions, but to what he describes as corruption in every season.
" In the rain, the mountain slides and gets blocked. In the snow, frost blocks it. In the sun, concrete dissolves. So, the problem is not the weather. The problem is corruption in every season ," declares Salianji.
He emphasizes that the national axes connecting the southeast constitute, according to him, "the clearest evidence of failure and theft", specifically mentioning the Librazhd-Prrenjas road, which he describes as "a symbol of the miserable standard of Edi Rama's governance".
Salianji also mentions the Qukës–Qafë Plloçë road, which he says is still not accessible after 13 years and over 300 million euros in spending. According to him, the funds have been increased for electoral reasons and not to improve standards.

The Librazhd–Prrenjas road is a symbol of the miserable standard of Edi Rama's governance.
The Qukës–Qafë Plloçë road, after 13 years and over 300 million euros, is still not accessible. The money was increased for campaigning, not for standards. The Maliq–Lozhan–Moglicë–Gramsh road was narrowed and its design changed to favor interests related to Devoll Hydropower, not to serve citizens.
Today, they are all blocked and no one is responsible for any of them.
This is dereliction of duty and abuse of power at its finest!
It is an abandonment of the citizens of the southeast.
It is a risk to the life of every traveler.
An entire area is isolated, not by nature but by corruption and greed.
In any country by European standards, a government would have resigned.
In Albania, this government must go!
