The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, was invited to Euronews Albania, while at the same time Ervin Salianji held a meeting with parts of the DP structures in the city of Durrës.
Asked by journalist Mirela Milori how he feels about this meeting, Bardhi said that his interview has nothing to do with what Salianji is doing, while he said that he supports the official position of the DP and President Berisha, according to which every meeting outside the forums is private.
Milori asked if this division could be worrisome for the grassroots and the Democrats.
Bardhi said that the DP does not prevent anyone from freely expressing their opinion or meeting with the Democrats.
" The DP has institutions that have not restricted anyone's right to speak and will not prevent anyone from freely expressing their opinion, such as meetings with Democrats, each member of the leadership and colleagues makes their own choice every day whether to make these meetings public or not ," he added.
Journalist Milori further asked him if these meetings continue and could attract dissatisfied people, how would he explain the basis.
Bardhi responded that there is no misunderstanding in relation to the base and that Albania has many more problems that deserve attention than this issue.
He concluded by saying: " I don't see any problem with being truthful ."
