German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrives at the Berlin summit

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has arrived in Tirana for the Berlin Process summit. He was received by Rama, where there was also a handshake.

This is the first time that the Berlin Summit takes place outside of a European Union country. The meeting will be held in the premises of the Pyramid.

The Berlin process is taking place in response to the European Commission's progress reports on the progress of the candidate countries and the debate on EU enlargement, which began at the informal meeting of the European Council in Granada and is expected to culminate in the European Council in December.
