The Chairperson of the Integration Commission and at the same time the deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, revealed details from the Summit of the Berlin Process, which will take place this Monday in Tirana.
Invited to the show "This Week" by journalist Nisida Tufa, on News24, Tabaku said that this Summit will focus on the economy and the expansion of the market in the region, that is, on the creation of a common regional market.
" In the region, we know how the region is, we know what is happening with the neighboring countries, the problems they have, so Albania is the place where this summit can take place. The member countries, but also the commission, are tired of that list of criteria that are never met. This is a merit process. The fight against corruption, organized crime, is permanent. That is why we have decided to make this process run by the citizens, by the economy, by the expansion of the market, i.e. the common regional market. The reforms will be in these areas. We do not have the luxury of being arrogant, condescending, or corrupt. It is a 2 billion euro package from the European Union and we must not lose it. Albania has none of the problems that other countries have, despite all the difficulties the opposition has, it has an opposition oriented by the integration process. In this dynamic, Albania plays a role in the region ", said Tabaku.
