"Mundësia" party MP Erald Kapri reacted to the decision to expel MP Agron Shehaj from the Parliament for 20 days, calling it an attack on the opposition and parliamentarianism.
In a public statement, Kapri accused the majority of using parliamentary committees to exercise, according to him, "political prosecution" against the opposition.
According to him, the decision to expel Shehaj is related to the complaints that the latter has made about violence against residents of the Rrjoll area.
He also added that the opposition has requested a hearing with the residents of Rrjoll, a request that according to him was rejected by the majority.
"He was expelled for 20 days because he spoke about the violence against the residents of Rrjoll. You were not present in the hall. Find a moment when parliamentarism was violated. Find a moment when he insulted, when he violated the rules, when he used all kinds of committees to make political prosecutors. There are 50 thousand votes missing today in the government's vote of confidence. You expel him from the Assembly because he speaks about the violence of the state police, how can MPs be expelled like this? We have asked you for a hearing session with the residents of Rrjoll, but you have almost refused ," said Kapri.
