Journalist Lavdrim Lita has asked the Democratic Party to take responsibility for the loss of the May 11 elections and to conduct an in-depth analysis of the structures.
In a fierce debate with the right-wing councilor of the Tirana Municipality, Dorian Teliti, Lita told "A2 CNN" that the opposition elected Lulzim Basha's losers as district leaders.
Teliti acknowledged that the opposition needs improvement, but challenged Lita by saying that any intellectual competing in the districts against the gangs of power would lose the battle.
The debate between them:
Teliti: We have a part of society, especially here in Tirana, that has this courage, but when it comes to the area, gentlemen, they don't have this courage to compete.
Lita: Who did you take to the districts as district leaders? Because first of all, you act like you are a victim. But you are co-responsible for this. Because you took Lulzim Basha's political leaders as Sali Berisha's political leaders. They were the same losers that you promoted with losses. The more losses you took as leaders of the Parliamentary Group. No, not because there are many things to say. Don't go overboard with this sentence that we need improvement. No, so you have to take responsibility, you haven't done an analysis yet.
Teliti: We have to improve ours too. You bring Donald Trump there... Are you listening to me? What responsibility do I have? We will do the analysis, do you know this or do we know it. You are making rhetoric in vain now. Lower your voice. The truth is spoken in a calm voice. You bring Donald Trump before the gangs, the gangs win, sir.
Lita: But let me not know that analysis that you are doing. We need political responsibility, sir. Because you are lying to us. The more you lose, the more political leaders you bring back to the top. This is against your interest. You know things and you don't say them. You will never come out on top because those who lose will be appointed. Why are you protecting them? Change this political culture.
Teliti: You said it five times, I don't defend anyone. They are capable of defending themselves. That we need improvements, of course, I repeat it once again.
