Prime Minister Rama says the government has finalized an agreement with the United Arab Emirates on school safety.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Rama said that the same security camera service will also be extended to main roads.
"This is a global problem. The case of Martin Cani took on huge proportions because it is terrible for a child to lose his life in a fight between peers. But knife murders at this age have become a global problem. We have done a project together with the Emirates government to put all schools under total camera monitoring. That program has yielded fantastic results against bullying. It is a program based on transparency between the school, the parent and the student. It has fantastic results. We have made the agreement, we have received the funding and it starts soon. We will also have the main roads, all with security cameras ," said Rama.
