The handover ceremony of the Javelin missile systems took place at the premises of the Land Force Command in Zall Herr, within the framework of the strategic cooperation between Albania and the United States of America.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Tirana, Nancy Van Horn, described this development as a significant moment in strengthening the partnership between the two countries and in increasing defense capacities within NATO.
"This ceremony marks a very important step in our ongoing partnership. The United States is an indicator of our commitment to regional security and the strength of the NATO Alliance."
"This relationship requires not only increased defense spending but a sustained focus on combat readiness and military modernization. The security environment we all face requires all allies to do their part. On behalf of the United States, I also want to ask for your contribution of troops and military equipment to NATO and international missions around the world," Van Horn said during her speech.
