The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, during the government's decisions, clarified and guaranteed every citizen of the Republic of Albania that no data from the TIMS system was leaked and there were no problems.
He also states that a new team within the General Directorate of Police from June has undertaken a complete change in the way of technical administration and security.
"Albania has been attacked by a cyber attack in 2022 and naturally all institutions are taking measures to increase protective dams from any form. We are not the only country, there is no country in the world we live in, which does not have or is not under certain cyber attacks. The US has destroyed one of the largest hacker gangs known to the US.
This is a battle, there is no concern that there has been data leakage from the TIMS system. The truth is that a new team within the General Directorate of Police since June has undertaken a complete change in the way of technical administration and security, naturally those who have left may have criticisms, complaints, may raise and doubts about the work done by those who have taken this task, I guarantee every citizen of the Republic of Albania that no data from TIMS has been leaked and there have been no problems.
Regarding what you say about the report, it is not true that there is a report, but I have requested that the data available to the police surveillance agency be evaluated by the prosecution if there is any element, this is a new standard that will be placed in all the dependency structures in which I have the honor to direct that in all cases even when there is a conviction that has elements of a criminal offense, this is given to the prosecution to evaluate.
