"SPAK is hitting both sides", Kulluri: No government has had the will

Democrat Edvin Kulluri said that the SPAK file on Berisha is not related to a political accusation. He said that for the first time corruption is being tackled at the highest state level.

"SPAK was an international initiative. The parties put the internationals down. You remember Vlahut and Lu's hug. When the reform was voted. It was a supported reform full of defects. I'm not talking about SPAK and BKH, but about first and second instance courts. The system has problems. But regarding SPAK and GJKKO, I say that the justice system has not judged the high level of politics in Albania. It was already understood that political parties do not have the will to fight corruption. Because all governments have tolerated each other. Rama did not actually take a file of his government to SPAK. He did not bring a file" , said Kulluri for "Report Tv".

According to him, the Albanian governments during the transition have never had the will to fight corruption.

"There was no political will to fight corruption. If they call the fight against corruption at high levels a political war. I don't see a SPAK that fights one party and leaves another ," he said.

Kulluri said that Prime Minister Rama should be investigated as he also stole, and according to him this is an own goal.

"Berisha's premise that you take Rama into the investigation does not mean that I am not innocent, but we are both. It's an own goal. It happens that what SPAK has done is a new precedent in Albania. Very complex investigation. Here we have a property investigation. We have an administrative investigation. It has not been easy. A single man appoints his deputies, his government. At the moment when Edi Rama and Berisha appoint MPs and his government, what is the meaning of a collegial decision. Today we have three quarters of the ministers and no one knows them. That's why we raised the concern of opening the lists, so that corruption does not happen", concluded the democrat.
