The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that the opposition protests do not have Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku as their main target, but Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Berisha, Balluku is Rama's "accessory", while the responsibility for major affairs, according to him, falls on the head of government. He stressed that the focus of the protests called by the opposition is the prime minister, adding that behind the scandals that have been publicly denounced, Rama is hiding as the main responsible.
"Our protests do not focus on Balluku, the main focus is the chief thief of the nation, Edi Rama. Balluku is his accessory, an accessory of his. But the revolt, the peaceful uprising has Edi Rama at the epicenter for us. Every citizen should be clear, he is the mother of all these affairs that have come out, AKSHI is at least 3 times more criminal, more serious than any other affair. Do you know that if in the Balluku affair the taxes of every Albanian were stolen, in the AKSHI affair the personal data of every Albanian was stolen. Every data on their phones, in their photo galleries, their conversations, all of which was looted. So you understand that the drug cartels have the data on every citizen, on every ambassador, on every person living in Albania. AKSHI is the most unprecedented affair in the history of Europe," he said.
