Corrupt tenders, the head of SPAK justifies: These issues require a long term to
Altin Dumani

The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has stated that most of the cases being investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office require a long term, as there are postponements of sessions and delays in the investigation.

Dumani said in the activity "Center for the Study of Democracy and Government" that issues of a corrupt nature and violation of equality in tenders, or even abuse of office require a very long time to come to conclusions.

He also spoke about transparency, where he said that the public has been informed as much as the law allows, and according to him, they have published everything on the SPAK website.

"SPAK has tried to build good relations with civil society and we will continue to be cooperative. Most SPAK cases require a long term, there are postponements of sessions and delays in the investigation. Cases with 20 defendants create adjournments. Especially issues of a corrupt nature and violation of equality in tenders, or even abuse of office require a very long time, but also special techniques. There is no comparison between a SPAK case and a case of general jurisdiction prosecutors. As far as transparency is concerned, we have tried as much as the law allows us to be transparent with the public and we have published everything on the SPAK website. There are rare announcements when the public interest is too great and we have reacted. Media pressure and political rhetoric have no impact whatsoever. I am immune to both. I try to convey this to the investigators. We are attentive when issues are raised by the media or politics in various discussions, of course we follow them. But in relation to the investigations, they do not affect us", he emphasized.
