Today's parliamentary session was closed amid tensions and controversies. Although the Assembly gathered to approve the resolution in support of Kosovo for the attacks in the north, Lindita Nikolla made a maneuver at the end of the session. After the resolution was approved by 101 votes, she put the agenda to a vote that was blocked last week.
This has irritated the opposition MPs who stood up and blocked the floor of the Assembly. But this did not prevent Nikola from continuing with the voting. The majority quickly dismissed the opposition's demands for the establishment of two investigative commissions, the one for the scandal with the TIMS system and for concessions in health.
The majority also rejected Gazmet Bardhi's request to replace Enkelejd Alibeaj from Basha with Bylykbashi from Berisha in the Electoral Reform Commission. Bardhi tried to make a maneuver, which was not accepted by the SP.
After closing the voting, Nikola announced that he received 3 letters. One was Bardhi announcing that Oerd Bylykbashi returns to the DP group. Meanwhile, she read two letters from Basha. The latter announced the exclusion from the group of 11 deputies and determined the new members of the group. On the other hand, he had also informed Nikolla that Gazment Bardhi is no longer part of DP, as it has been expelled as a member.
The reading of the letters caused laughter in the hall, but there was no decision. Nikola only read them and it is not known if these requests will be taken into account. Most likely, the opposition will continue to be in chaos both outside and inside the Assembly.
Meanwhile, the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, in a statement to journalists after the end of the plenary session, has stated that Lindita Nikolla introduced the opposition's request for the establishment of investigative commissions to the agenda, in an insidious manner, according to him.
" A few moments ago, Albanians saw an unrepeatable act of thuggery. The one who performs the duties of the chairman, in fact, a man misused by Rama, violating the regulation with both feet, put on the agenda after the resolution was voted, what could never happen.
