Former DP MP Myslim Murrizi expressed skepticism towards the DP's national protest held last Saturday.
Referring to the vote in parliament last Thursday where Rama was also voted by the DP as Albania's representative on the Peace Board introduced by President Trump, Murrizi said that he did not say that you cannot vote for Rama on Thursday and demand his ouster on Saturday.
"The protest is also related to the importance of the individuals who speak out in the protest. It should not be said like that, I am against this statement that Rama makes. If we raise expectations and then there are two hours of speeches and a quarter of an hour of protest, then the militants go home, and you will invite them on February 20, that come on, we are 67 meters closer to the last kilometer. It is not serious with a political force that has governed Albania.
With the rhetoric, "let's throw it in the trash, let's dig it up," I don't know of any government that has been toppled by protests much larger than these.
The opposition has a mission to protest to align and unify the opposition factor.
As long as there is a Pogonishte dance and it ends with a couplet, there is also a direction for who will speak...
Maybe they believe that the overthrow of the government comes from the international factor, but I say that it comes from Albanians, raising awareness of the international factor. I don't believe that neither Trump nor Meloni nor Macron will vote to overthrow Rama.
"This protest was an attempt to light a fire in a wet thorn bush. You vote for Rama on Thursday and invite me to overthrow him on Saturday. You vote for Rama so that he can be a representative of the entire political factor in Albania. Then they will have to vote again, which is why I say it was a fire that was tried to be lit in a wet thorn bush. I think there would have been more protesters if the opposition had not voted for Rama as a representative in the Peace Board," Murrizi said in "The Unexposed."
