The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke during a press conference regarding the unrest in the Municipality of Tirana. Asked who is governing the Municipality, he said that through Anuela Ristani, Rama is taking brutal actions.
"Regarding the question of who governs the municipality of Tirana, this is a fact, it is a lady named Anuela Ristani, who was dismissed by the mayor on the spot.
Another lady was named who was called and threatened by Edi Rama in the least dignified way, not only was she threatened but was fired from her job because Erion Veliaj delegated her signature as the person he trusted to carry out actions in place of the mayor. These acts are public, it is Rama who has brutally intervened in the dismissals and appointments in the Municipality of Tirana. The law categorically prohibits it.
"If the Prime Minister has a disagreement, he can address the court but not take enforcement action against him," Rama said.
