Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech on the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party, responded to all citizens who made anti-Israeli calls during the 13-day protest taking place on "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard.
Rama stated that the investors in Zvërnec have no connection to Israel, they are two brothers from Qatar, two honorable investors, who are Muslim believers.
"Where does Israel come in here, that they say they sold Zvërnec to the Israelis? They are two brothers, from Qatar, a country that has no connection with Israel. Then why, or that Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law, is Israeli?" Rama said.
The Prime Minister continued by saying that the history of Albanians is the history of people who, beyond religions, have respect for others, for friends, for those in need, for those in danger.
"It was the Muslims who became the shield of the Jews. This is why Albania must maintain that connection. The home of the Albanian is God's and the friend's. Who is the devil who is trying to come between us? Who is trying to leave something behind for our children that we must protect? Who is the devil who is preventing a tourist investment? What does Israel have to do with the investment there in Zvërnec? The two main investors are 2 Muslim brothers from Qatar. Or that the son-in-law of the US President is Jewish. So what? Can we be so stupid as to throw up what is not thrown up and make the world a laughing stock? We must have strategic relations with everyone," said Rama.
