The former candidate for party chairman of the Democratic Party, Fatbardh Kadilli, among other things, mentioned the 3 moments when Sali Berisha misused the Democratic Party.
According to him, the first moment was in 2013, when he lost the elections as prime minister and did not leave the party, the second moment was when he was declared "non-grata", and the third moment is now.
" There are 3 very strong moments, when Berisha misused DP in the last 10 years. One is when he lost the election as prime minister and did not leave the party. The second one, when she was declared non-grata, did not spare her but put her in crisis, and the third one is today, when there is a legal accusation, which cannot be a popular trial.
We cannot be in public trials today, after 33 years of democracy. Today, justice institutions need support. Today, the opposition has only one element to support, justice. Because these institutions have imprisoned people from today's government, " Kadilli said.
Regarding Basha's silence, regarding this situation, Kadilli said that in his opinion, Basha is making a mistake by remaining silent. Since he has taken it upon himself to lead a political party, he must come up with a clear position on this situation.
" For me, Basha is making a mistake by staying silent, and it's even a mistake that I can't understand. As long as a politician undertakes to lead a political institution, it is guided by morality, cause and values, and when there are such events, that morality, that cause, those values are in challenge today and today they must listen to the clear word of the one who leads.
I want to be in the position of politics today, when the value, the cause makes me proud. A clear attitude is needed from Basha and every public person.
What is this about? You have a legal charge, go to court sir. You have not been a statesman as long as you do not respect the institutions. People have faced the dictatorship, you don't face the institutions of justice, which you voted for.
No one can be protected by holding conferences with the logo of a party," he added.
Kadilli finally said that what the opposition should do now is to support justice and stay close to the citizens more than the government.
" The entire opposition must insist strongly on having a justice system. And a justice system in a country that has never had justice needs to be supported. This is what the opposition should do.
Because even that simple man who knows has been stolen these 33 years by the politician, only one thing makes him brave and makes him a worthy citizen, that in the end whoever has abused will face justice. Only then will he understand that justice is rewarded.
We as the opposition only have this value, we give an answer to that simple man, what the government does not give. This is sawing the branch where you are sitting yourself ", concluded Kadilli.
