Rally for Kosovo, Berisha: Rama is harming KLA fighters more, I am against

Democratic leader Sali Berisha took a stance against organizing protests, such as the one to be held in Tirana on Friday afternoon, in support of KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague.

Berisha said that protest is not the way to oppose the court. He said that he has always been against such protests, emphasizing that even opposition supporters have not participated in such organizations.

"There were reports of protests, but I did not allow them. The courts have their absurdities, but they have an independence, which is not a merit of other powers to attack."

Otherwise there will be no courts. I am for them to be respected, no matter what they do.

Edi Rama hurts them a lot because he is already a stigmatized personality. You heard it, stigmatized nationally and internationally. And for the judges to see that he is coming out on top, it absolutely hurts them.

For Taulant Balla, who has a black record in all the chancelleries, to come out and talk about the freedom fighters, it hurts them. Yes, normal, the KLA fighters and other citizens are free to organize whatever they think.

But Edi Rama has proven that he is a fierce enemy of Kosovo.

Do you remember the border demarcation project? This was the main promoter.

Do you remember the Open Balkans when they put Kosovo on the map of Serbia? This was the main author.

Do you remember the sanctions that were imposed on Albin Kurti? This was it.

Do you remember his flight, gathering the Batons of Kosovo to overthrow the government? That was it.

Do you remember his speeches against the Prime Minister of Kosovo? This is it.

He has this against him too.

We are not here to interfere in the internal affairs of Kosovo. I said it in parliament, my preference is for LDK to take over, but I never interfere in the campaign or in those.

"This is normal, it's a different country," Berisha said.
