A fierce clash took place in the parliamentary session between the deputy of DP, Jorida Tabaku and the leader of the session, Ermonela Felaj. The latter gave a speech about the murder of the police officer in Fier. According to her, the perpetrator of the crime was also part of the vote protection structures that were set up by DP.
Felaj, has called on the criminal police to return to the investigations for the creation of these structures.
Then Jorida Tabaku took the floor, but as soon as the latter started commenting on Felaj's statement, she was interrupted. Tabaku can be heard saying from the seat, addressing Felaj: Shame on you.
Two deputies have had a bad fight with each other regarding this issue.
Felaj: I have been disappointed by my fellow opposition MPs and their reactions to the case of the serious event in Fier. There are data from the media, which have also been confirmed through the positions taken by fellow deputies that these people were used by politics in the 2021 elections. So-called voting structures were created for which some opposition colleagues said that we have hired professional people for to protect the vote. The event in Elbasan, the event in Fier... There is also someone else who is serving a prison sentence for protecting the vote in Fier district.
Tabaku: We are discussing an agreement with Interpol for a conference and there was an agreement in the commission and it was not used for politics. I'm sorry that a lady like you who is leading the session speaking from that lectern… don't interrupt me. I have it for procedure.
Felaj : Interpol is a police organization closely related to the criminal police. The holding of this conference in Tirana, the participation of many delegations, will be a good job opportunity and an opportunity for the criminal police to raise the standards of work and professionalism. Referring to the data from the speech of the general prosecutor, I want to share two data: the criminal coefficient in Albania compared to 2022 has been decreasing and this is good news. 800 is the coefficient of committing criminal offenses, but the data that caught our attention and that has worried many people is what is the most widespread criminal offense. The most widespread crime results in crimes directed against state authority. It is about offenses directed at uniformed employees
Tabaku: We are discussing an agreement with Interpol for a conference and there was an agreement in the commission and it was not used for politics. I'm sorry that a lady like you who is leading the session speaking from that lectern… don't interrupt me. I have it for procedure
Felaj: You have no right to comment on my speech. If you want to talk about this agenda item I asked you and you said NO. Sit down, no colleague is given the right to comment on another colleague's speech. If you find yourself supported by criminals, I urge you to distance yourself. Sit down. Let's not play games. You have no right to comment on my speech or anyone else's. I don't have, why am I giving you my word because I gave it to you and you didn't use it.
