In recent days, there has been much commentary in almost every television studio about the appearance of former President Ilir Meta, in the court session that took place against him on Monday, April 27, at the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCAC), where he appeared weaker than ever before.
His appearance was considered significantly altered, which led to a series of reactions from the public, while there were also accusations from the opposition of mistreatment of him in the detention cell. But what is the truth?
The leader of the Freedom Party spoke about this in an exclusive interview with the host of the "Opinion" show, Blendi Fevziu.
Meta has dismissed all the theories circulating, saying that his condition is better than ever and that the drastic change in his appearance has occurred due to his intense training.
" Dear Blendi, I am convinced that the biggest impression or surprise was my appearance in the '5-star' cage. Meanwhile, the entire effort of the Sorosist regime tried to distract the public's attention supposedly to my health condition and even to my 'mental' state."
Yes, it's true that I've lost weight, but that's because I do 4 hours of interval training every day. But I'm much healthier and stronger than before.
"Since you haven't been allowed to do an interview so far, ask permission to at least have a ping-pong match and if you win a set, you'll be very lucky, " Meta said, adding with humor that his suits are old and that after almost 2 years of "re-education", the well-known stylist Altin Mici, whom he calls "handyman", doesn't know his new sizes.
But more than appearances, Meta considers more important the fact that he was held in a glass cage during the court session.
" But please, focus on the essence of the issue, namely the decision to be tried in a 'cage' based on the precedent of a Moroccan terrorist who killed dozens of French people a decade ago. So the GJKKO turns the extreme exception that occurred in France into a 'European' standard of trial."
So the trials against Nicolas Sarkozy, Alain Juppe, Bernard Tapie and 99.99% of French citizens have been 'abnormal' for our 'special' GJKKO. They forget that the court must not only be impartial, but must also be presented in form (not just content) as such. So they do not even pretend to be impartial , "said the former President of the Republic in the interview given in detention conditions.
He also comments on the court's decision not to allow live broadcasts of all hearings, considering this an absurd decision. According to him, this is a matter of public interest and every citizen who has an interest or desire should follow it in full. In the accusations against him, Meta claims that there is no state secret.
