Rama's ultimatums for the resignation of municipal employees, Strakosha: We

Pranvera Strakosha, Commissioner for Civil Service Supervision, presented her annual report to the Laws Committee today, while facing a series of questions from members of this committee.

One of the questions addressed to the Commissioner was related to Prime Minister Edi Rama's ultimatums for the resignation of municipal employees, including deputy mayors.

Strakosha said that the institution he leads is not a court, while he considered the act of resignation as the will of the individual who undertakes it.

The debate

Ndoja: Regarding the Prime Minister's order to Municipalities, referring to the cases of employees with civil servant status. Is it a fair intervention by local government bodies and does it hinder the progress of work there? How much is the financial bill in the budget that affects, for dismissals from work and the lawsuits won by those who have left?

Strakosha: Regarding the question of the resignation order, this is at their discretion, whether they give it or not, it is their right. We review dismissals in violation of the law, those who complain about dismissal, those related to dismissals and status. We are not a court, we are indirect, we receive the notification and review the procedure, because it is the court if the issue is there. We only review or resolve it without going to court. We inspect the Supreme Administrative Court, the Supreme Administrative Court and the Supreme Administrative Court regularly, but not the others. We have nothing to do with what they do in the courts, but with their status. We are not able to give a general invoice because this is done in cooperation with the Supreme Administrative Court, the institutions that inspect.
