Twenty candidates on the open list in Tirana have denounced to Sali Berisha the scandal that members of the DP Presidency are campaigning "ear to ear" so that the democrats' votes are given to the Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, but they have been instructed by Sali Berisha himself...
A few days ago, Edi Rama ordered the 46 candidates on the closed lists of the Socialist Party (SP) not to collect votes for their preferential and clan candidates who are on the open lists, but to collect votes only for the SP and for the candidates of the respective zones.
Meanwhile, according to information from the blue headquarters, Sali Berisha has ordered the 7 closed list deputies of the DP in Tirana to campaign inside and outside the membership, to collect votes for the open list candidate, Ilir Meta.
The closed list MPs, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Albana Vokshi, Belind Këlliçi, Jozefina Topalli, Besart Xhaferri and Klevis Balliu, have begun to implement Sali Berisha's order, ordering the members and trusted militants, as if it were the doctor's order, to give their votes, those of their family and acquaintances, to Ilir Meta.
They are campaigning "ear to ear" for Ilir Meta, but the open list candidates have considered it a scandal that members of the DP Presidency are campaigning tirelessly so that the democrats' votes are given to the Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta.
A group of 20 candidates from the DP's open list have denounced to Sali Berisha the clientelism of candidates from the closed list of Tirana, to the detriment of candidates from the open list.
But Sali Berisha did not react, because he himself ordered the 7 members of the DP leadership, candidates on the closed list, to collect votes for Ilir Meta, and according to information, he even assigned a quota of 1,500 votes to each of them, or more precisely, their votes.
Sali Berisha's goal is to secure more votes for Ilir Meta than for the other candidates on the open list, to guarantee the 13th mandate after the closed list, but only if the "DP-Greater Albania" coalition exceeds the party percentage of over 12 mandates in Tirana.
By taking the mandate of MP, the arrested Ilir Meta has the chance to be released from pre-trial detention and enter parliament, which is why Sali Berisha nominated him, initially on the closed list, then switched to the open list, with the guarantee that he would be given the votes of the Democrats.
But his release will depend on overcoming the closed list of the DP, on the constitutional provisions, on the decision of the SP in parliament and on the position of the SPAK and the Special Court, because Ilir Meta has been arrested for several serious criminal offenses and is being investigated as ordering murders.
Fatmir Mediu and his criminals have also been involved in the campaign for Ilir Meta's votes, while the candidates on the closed list, Tedi Blushi and Erisa Xhixho, have publicly stated in the media that, together with the DP, they have launched a campaign to collect as many votes as possible for Ilir Meta./ Pamphlet
