Vangjel Tavo in "red circle" by the Greek secret service? The prefect

Vangjel Tavo, the prefect of the Vlora district, has spoken about the situation in Himara and the threats he has received.

Recently, some data have been published showing that Tavo was tried to be eliminated twice, in 1997 and the second attempt in 2001 in Athens.

Tavo himself, who is invited to the show " 360 Degrees ", spoke about this, as he said that there have been other occasions during his political career when he felt threatened.

Focusing on the clash on Friday in the municipal council of Himara, where the elected mayor Blerina Bala, the prefect of Vlora said:

" Threatened, it was a threat, but to be honest, I'm one of those guys who doesn't get scared and when I set a goal, I'll see it through to the end regardless of the costs. It is historical, service to people and when I receive a task I will carry it to the end. What happened in Himare, I have emphasized another time, was the reaction of a group of people for reasons that I do not want to comment on, whether they are justified or not, they may or may not be right, this is another matter. But the right of each person goes as far as not infringing on the right of another.

Part of the two threats has to do with declassified documents of the Greek secret service. There are other things but it is not part of this show. There have been other things during my 28-year career in politics, I have had other cases where I have been threatened. Maybe not bombs and not coming home armed to knock me out. The reaction of the people there is a normal part of a protest, I experienced it at the beginning of my political career in Dropull, and when they called me a traitor because I had chosen to run with SP in '96 and not with PBDNJ. That same year in Dropull, I got 69 percent. The majority thought differently and those people who came out to me in a village of Dropulli with slogans and insults and after a year of getting to know me closely, made me my closest collaborators. I am convinced that after the Himarjotes get to know me, my relations with that group will be as friendly as those of the Dropullites have been with me ", said Tavo.
