DP MP Jorida Tabaku has raised the question about the services that Albanians receive even though they pay higher taxes.
" Last year, the state budget collected almost 264 million euros more. While the year ended with an additional surplus of 150 million euros" - says the DP deputy, also a member of the Economy and Finance Committee.
" Are you getting these taxes back? Are you getting lower prices? Do you have more services? Higher pensions? Free healthcare? More roads?" - asks Tabaku while arguing that unlike what was expected for so many taxes that are collected from shops, villagers in stalls and even the pockets of citizens from supermarkets with high taxes, they go to the pockets of the owners of concessions and PPP -ve. This has influenced the cost of living due to taxes that have not produced more services for citizens who have been charged more taxes but have not been given more services ", says Tabaku.

It is already a fact that every Albanian pays more taxes, local fees, pays more for services and especially the middle class has had an extraordinary increase in taxes. Last year, the state budget collected almost 264 million euros more. While the year ended with an additional surplus of 150 million euros. What is happening with the state budget? Are you getting these taxes back? Are you getting lower prices? Do you have more services? Higher pensions? Free healthcare? More roads? As we speak, 11% is the expenditure of public investment funds. Projects of road construction, water supply and sewerage, local infrastructure... 11%. So what's going on? Is this value a result of arrogance? Corruption or inability to spend money? While they take from the citizens in any possible form; to the neighborhood store with high prices, to the villager with more taxes, to the supermarket with increased taxes, they do not pay back with services. Even the funds that have been collected in the state budget are not spent because they go to PPP, for concessions and do not focus on real projects that can be of service and benefit to tourism.
