The President of the DP, Lulzim Basha, spoke before the start of the session in the Assembly regarding the visit of the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
He said that his visit comes at a special moment for the region and Kosovo.
"Today is the time for Albanians not to chew on the crumbs of the day that the prime minister will feed them with a shovel, but to look beyond, a visit that signals the strength of the Albanian nation with the USA. It comes at a special moment and for Kosovo, I have no intention of putting it in the dirty socks of the daily politics of Tirana", said Basha.
He said that he "does not intend to put this visit in the dirty socks of the daily politics of Tirana", refusing to give other comments beyond the strategic relations between the two countries.
"Strategic relations cannot be included in the dirty socks of the daily politics of Tirana. They are such that they transcend persons. About who is in the government and the opposition. Today I want to welcome you Blinken. In DP, the USA has and will have a proud political factor for the alliance with SHAB, as it has tried many times at a high price to protect the principles," he said.
