The head of the SP parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi, speaking in the Assembly about the draft for changes to the Electoral Code.
Peleshi explained that the draft that was passed today for voting does not include the voting of Albanian immigrants with foreign cards, a request raised by the opposition.
" The proposal regarding foreign cards is not part of this draft. We have nothing against this part of the diaspora, which is about 7-8%.
Here, fair claims were raised by colleagues in the parliamentary group, regarding the verifiability of identity cards from another country, databases from another country that we do not have.
To clarify for Albanians, it is not part of today's package.
"It is an issue that belongs to the CEC, I urge them to look at it carefully so that the integrity of a process is not violated, for the first time in history, the diaspora vote is becoming possible ," said Peleshi.
