Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded to Richard Grenell's statement about former Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi.
On the 17th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, Grenell said that Thaçi should be celebrating in Pristina and not in The Hague.
Rama supported Grenell's statement, saying: The longer it continues, the greater the stain on the international justice body.
"This historic moment has been overshadowed by a great injustice. The founding father of Kosovo's statehood, Hashim Thaçi, should be celebrating today in Pristina - not behind bars in The Hague ," wrote Donald Trump's former envoy during his first term for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue on the X platform.
Grenell further adds that Europeans have failed to act against "this injustice over the past five years," and they are not alone. "Kosovo's state institutions, due to politics, have also failed to take the necessary legal action to end this injustice," his message continues.
