Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka held a meeting with the US ambassador in Tirana Yuri Kim, in the framework of the end of her mission in Tirana.
The meeting was announced by Xhaçka herself through a post on the social network "Twitter", where she says that it is sad to see a good friend leave.
This is a surprising reaction, considering that at the time when the ambassador's regular term of office expired, it was Xhaçka who hurried to announce that DASH has started proceeding to replace Kim. A statement which disturbed the relations between the government and the embassy.
Further in her post, Xhaçka thanked Ambassador Kim for the work done in Albania, while wishing her success in her new mission in the high post of DASH.
" Mik, today I received Ambassador Yuri Kim on her last visit as Ambassador of the United States of America to Albania. It's sad to see a good friend go. We worked a lot together for the advancement of relations between our two countries and we are grateful to Yuri for working with his heart for the best interest of Albania. I wished her all the best in her new and important mission. It is certain that our paths will cross again in the future ", writes Olta Xhaçka.
