Socialist MP Zegjine Çaushi has reacted to Jozefina Topalli's ironic statements in Parliament.
She stated that Topalli should thank Sali Berisha for returning her to the DP, recalling her expulsion during Lulzim Basha's leadership.
"Dear Josephine, you should tell the doctor in honor. That Luli grabbed you by the scruff of the neck and threw you out. I understand that you are nostalgic for your time, they were golden. But lady, things have changed now. We are in a different era. We are not in your era, to grab you by the scruff of the neck and throw you out from up there," said Çaushi.
Topalli criticized the Socialist Party for its level of representation in Parliament. She compared the current composition of the Socialist parliamentary group with that of the years when it first entered the Assembly.
"When I first entered Parliament, the SP was represented by Fatos Nano, Dritëro Agolli, Servet Pëllumbi, Namik Dokle, etc. I had never imagined that the SP would end up in the first round of the debate. The abuse you are making of MPs to sign amendments to laws that you have put on the agenda is the worst thing that can be done by a prime minister," said Topalli.
Zegjine Çaushi previously clashed with the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, using ironic and mocking words from the hall, while the session was accompanied by tension and retorts between the parties.
"Thank you dear Gazo for finally mentioning me. Look me in the eye. Look at the stars, you came to Fier to drink gin, at 2 am and to light fireworks. And to eat meatballs at the neighborhood bar. There was no Fierak to open the door for you. You went to your grandparents in Patos and they didn't bother to look at you at all. You left for Roskovec before you went, why didn't you go to those few democrats who gave those votes for Gent, this is where Gent should be. You should be grateful to me that the doctor didn't take you away just to please me. I will remember a phrase you said to Berisha, you are a man who only came to Fier to twist, with that body of yours like a tomato perch", he addressed Çaushi-Bardhi.
