Granit Gjana will be asked about the video scandal of Safet Gjic, who resigned after the sexual scandal with Alma Kaçi that happened in the office of the former mayor of Kukës.
Gjana to provide clarifications regarding the investigations he is conducting against the former mayor Safet Gjici and Alma Kaci who are discussing a tender for the rehabilitation of stray dogs in Kukës.
Until now, Safet Gjici is in custody under the security measure 'prison arrest'.
The former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, was arrested a few weeks ago at the request of SPAK, after he was put under investigation at the time of the publication of an intimate video of him with a girl in the premises of the office in the municipality.
Gjici is suspected of committing corruption with a tender and after verifications in the municipality of Kukes.
After the publication of the video, Safet Gjici resigned from his position saying that he was the victim of a trap and that he had shown himself to be frivolous while having an intimate relationship with the girl who appeared in the video.
Safet Gjici had just won the local elections on May 14 and was expecting to officially resume his post as mayor. After his dismissal from office, his place was taken by the vice-president Granit Gjana.
Gjici should remain under arrest, according to the SPAK prosecutor, Manjola Kajana, who emphasized that the suspect obtained sexual favors in exchange for a tender in the municipal offices.
